About Kings Langley
The Grand Union Canal runs through the picturesque and historic
village of Kings Langley, providing idyllic walks as well as fishing
and barge trips.The village has several pubs and restaurants and
a good selection of local shops. Attractions also include
Langleybury Children’s Farm and various historical sights
including a Roman settlement, a royal hunting lodge and a 14th -
15th century church. Woodlands is ideally located overlooking
the River Gade valley and within walking distance of the village
centre and the station. More extensive shopping and leisure
facilities are available in the surrounding areas of St. Albans,
Hemel Hempstead,Watford and the village of Abbotts Langley.
Education is first class with the local schools featuring strongly in
the national league tables.
Transport and communication
Kings Langley has excellent links to the motorway network via
junction 20 of the M25, just over half a mile from Woodlands.
There is a frequent train service from Kings Langley station to
London Euston with a journey time of 30 minutes. Luton Airport
is 12 miles and Heathrow Airport is 17 miles from Kings Langley.
